The emulated versions a) are out now and have worked great for years, for both DA1 and DA2, b) have texture upscaling such that you can have the game looking crisp and incredible to the limit of your PC, miles better than the original PS2/Xbox versions, and miles better than the garbage port they released, c) have state saving, so no need to head to a save point of any kind, and you can load a game in about a millisecond, d) have the ability to unlock the framerate and go to turbo mode, so at the slow points of the game you can speed through (like heading back through previously cleared areas). The ports are unfortunately steaming piles of horse shit that given the fact we already had a more effective PC version already should not be supported, the money grab for zero value they represent is disgusting. Next, install the PCSX2 emulator, torrent a BIOS pack, download a ROM for Dark Alliance 1 and 2, and run it that way. Looking for other players? Try the LFG Discord channel.
